Chippy Went to the Splash Pad

Chippy had his first trip of the season down to the splash pad. He was not a happy camper about going even though I assured him over and over that he wanted to go!! Here's his reaction to being told that we were going to the park ...

18 Months

Chippy is officially 1 1/2 years old! He seems pretty happy about it most of the time. His words are limited to 'busssssssssss' and 'oh oh' at the moment, but he's been 'talking' a lot recently with lots of different sounds. He can go up and down the stairs on his own (with supervision) and is pretty good at feeding himself (fruit & bread 99% of the time).

Stats from the doctor were:

Head: 51 cm
Weight: 11.3 kg (just under 25 lbs)
Height: can't remember - but when he stands beside me I can rest my palm on his head when I bend my elbow slightly ... so estimate what that is and that's his height!

He wasn't feeling well that day so we'll go back next week for shots.

My First Skinned Chin - Accident Report #3

Today Chippy came home from daycare with a skinned chin, upper lip and cut on his lower lip. He was pushing around a dump truck on the pavement and the truck slid out from under him and he fell to the ground - or so the story goes. It started bleeding again when we got home, but nothing a few handfuls of cookies couldn't help to fix!!

My First Skinned Knee

Chippy came home from daycare yesterday with a skinned knee!! Not sure how it happened - and I'm sure it won't be the last ... (see next report!)

Multi Talented Chippy

Daddy was doing some artwork with Chippy the other day. When daddy offered Chippy a third crayon to see which one he would drop, Chippy opened his mouth wide for the third crayon. With crayon in place he proceeded to draw with all three! If you look closely in the red part of the picture you'll see his blue line!

I Beat Beethoven

Well, not really. But I did enjoy Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 over the weekend! It was the annual Beat Beethoven Run downtown and rather than take part (too much work and I wouldn't make it 2 blocks), I enjoyed the music. I remained content for most of the 50 minutes.
