Today my little boy turns 6 months old! With that comes the realization that my maternity leave is half over. My resolution is to make the most of the next six months, blogging daily about our new adventures!
Pumpkin time! Chippy picked out the spider web from a book we had - of course it had to be in the 'challenging' category ... and both 'pumpkin' knives broke during the carving process! However, I'd say it was a success! Little pumpkin was mummy's creation. Mostly because we didn't have a stencil that small and it seemed easy ... and Chippy has been working hard on his 1, 2, 3's! We have 1 and 2 down. Working on 3!
Last weekend we bought a 'do it yourself' Halloween cookie from Cards bakery. Chippy happily made his cookie and surprisingly only ate a small portion of it. I think he was a bit put off by the black jelly bean he ate ... :)
There once was a boy named Chippy who decided one day to colour the wall! Mummy came in to find him colouring on the banister.
When mummy was cleaning that up, he came over and sheepishly pointed at the wall and said 'colouring' at which point mummy saw where 95% of his colouring took place!
DADDY let Chippy watch video's on the computer over the weekend! Mommy came downstairs to Thomas the Engine playing on the computer!! As Daddy said, it keeps him quiet! To be fair to Daddy, they were only 60 second videos. :-) It's funny how he has no interest in anything on our TV, but loves anything that is on the computer. Must be his love of Chippy Skypes!
Chippy went for his first bussssssss ride last week! Mommy took the bus to daycare - picked him up - and then we both rode the bus home together. He was a little impatient waiting for the bus, but once it came and we got on he was very quiet and still watching everything that went on. When it was our turn to get off he was a bit sad ... he wanted 'mowa' bus ride! Bye, bye bus!
Well... the good news is my finger is healing ... the bad news is the Doctor clipped my nail off today! It's for the better ... it was getting pretty uncomfortable and I'm no good at leaving band-aids on! Have a look at my new finger! :-) I was a very good boy throughout! No more smashing fingers in doors!!
We made the most of our first October Saturday by going shopping uptown for a new winter hat, painting, and apple picking!! Apple picking didn't last too long as it was pretty chilly - and as much as he announced 'Isaac's Hat' in the store - he refused to wear it very long once it was purchased and we were outdoors! Painting was fun - he let me know when he wanted his paint colour changed to 'black', 'orange' or 'green'.
