He can count backwards from 10 ... which is a must for doing a proper blastoff, and he will sit for almost 2 hours in the morning 'reading' books if he wakes up too early. With some prompting he is getting pretty good at sounding out what letters sound like, and can almost get them into words. Tonight we had a jumping contest (he will do anything for a race or a contest - quite competitive!) and he was jumping probably a good 4 feet off the back step - it was incredible!
Today my little boy turns 6 months old! With that comes the realization that my maternity leave is half over. My resolution is to make the most of the next six months, blogging daily about our new adventures!

Random June
Chippy has grown up into an independent little guy! He loves it at daycare and it's all we can do to drag him away at the end of the day. That said, he's more than happy to have a day at home with mummy or daddy! His temper tantrums have been getting stronger, and he's taken to yelling a bit more. But nothing a good bribe normally can't help to settle. This morning we went to the grocery store and the promise of a cookie at the bakery department was enough to get him to be a perfect gentleman!
