Today my little boy turns 6 months old! With that comes the realization that my maternity leave is half over. My resolution is to make the most of the next six months, blogging daily about our new adventures!
It's hard enough taking a picture of Chippy these days because he won't sit still. Now we add into the mix a cheesy smile every time he looks at the camera! I don't know who taught him this, but I hope it's just a phase!! Here are three versions taken today.
We had a few breakthroughs today ... Mommy asked for kisses after his nap this afternoon and I got two big open mouth kisses!! I also served up baby pasta and tomato sauce for dinner tonight and he ate everything I served him ... plus he finished the 1/4 bowl I had left!! He ate every single morsel of pasta. Maybe it's dad's cooking he doesn't like.... :-P
So, in an attempt to get Chippy to expand his palate we recently started to give him his whole dinner all at once rather than one thing at a time. He's doing okay, except the same things get eaten! First off he eats the kiwi/yogourt, then the bread, then the peach applesauce with hidden meat flavour, then he tries the canned Heinz veggie/pasta surprise ... and forget about trying the ham & potato soup! Just by looking at it he knew it was new and didn't even try it! Silly Chippy!
... there's a piece of chicken in your mouth!! We had a milestone moment tonight when Chippy surprised us both and munched happily on THREE pieces of chicken I gave him! We're not getting our hopes up, but it's a step in the right direction!
Watch out Cesc Fabregas - there's someone after your job! Chippy spent the afternoon outside today playing soccer with Dunning. Afterward, we had a good supper! Mommy finally found a way to make Chippy eat meat - Heinz sells bottled beef and chicken (or what they call beef and chicken) and when mixed with apple sauce it goes down a storm!
