Don't Look Now Chippy ...

... there's a piece of chicken in your mouth!! We had a milestone moment tonight when Chippy surprised us both and munched happily on THREE pieces of chicken I gave him! We're not getting our hopes up, but it's a step in the right direction!

It was an eventful night tonight. Firstly Chippy had a meltdown outside the car when I picked him up from daycare. He sat, laid back, and then rolled into the road face first between the car and the sidewalk - all within 3 seconds. He didn't hurt himself, but he made his point!

When we got home he helped to feed Dunning! He flips the lid off the food, grabs the scoop and transfers kibble from the bin to Dunning's bowl. Then he takes some out of the bowl and transfers them back to the bin. He went back and forth for a few minutes until I finally stopped him (and he had another meltdown!).

He then showed us that he knows exactly where the treats are! He goes to the cupboard, bumps the door to open it, goes straight for the Farley's biscuits, and then helps himself to the last two digestive cookies. It's amazing how he can pick out the 'yummy' food from the not so yummy food!

  3. He's related to Cestie!! She hated meat when she was little, much preferring veggies instead. As Chippy is illustrating, they grow out of it!! What fun you are having with the melt downs!! Oh bless his little heart.... exerting his independence already!!
